I home school, too, so books are just a way of life over here. I also noticed you have written children's books? What are their titles? I have actually written a few manuscripts and am doing research on getting published. Lots of work!! Any advice would be wonderful. Seems like you definitely know alot about books!!Brandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10312594053741362073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502879027302526495.post-77302450488458394632010-06-02T01:23:05.882-04:002010-06-02T01:23:05.882-04:00I love your balance and calm good sense here. But books in our house make tunnels for trains, pillows for dolls, tall towers and occasionally, (gulp) castle walls for missiles.BookChookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06230711251425187241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502879027302526495.post-24496299888391699282010-06-01T21:15:59.548-04:002010-06-01T21:15:59.548-04:00I love your posting. It reminds me of all the heavily tugged pull tabs, etc. of our children's books.

You've given good advice for the parents in modeling care for books. I'm glad you're 'aware' of the books, but also 'lenient'. Kudos!

PS I came over from Michelle's Beginning Reading blog to visit your link! I'm glad I looked :) If you haven't already, please stop by my blog and download some free coloring pages.Donna Peruginihttp://www.donnaperugini.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1502879027302526495.post-6981471367678348622010-05-26T21:42:03.555-04:002010-05-26T21:42:03.555-04:00We have many mended books. My kids are older now and treat their books much better.
The wear and tear came from my children loving their books and turning pages themselves. Some of the books are out of print. I keep the torn and taped books. These were my children's favorites. If the books don't go back into print again, my children will have these books for their children. I wish I would've taught more TLC, but we were having too much fun.Parent and Child Reading Assistancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14301555963338021290noreply@blogger.com
